Beginners' Yoga Basics Course

The Yoga Basics course gives an introduction to the principles of yoga and breathing/relaxation techniques. It's suitable for beginners and also anyone wishing to develop fundamental technique within their yoga practice. It will be a very relaxed approach (pun intended!) in which we can have fun learning how to use our bodies and breath to optimise our physical and mental health.

Ashtanga (set sequence)
Move and breathe through this dynamic set sequence on Tuesdays 6.30-8pm upstairs at Knightly Gaming, Bathgate.

This 90 minute class is perfect for those with a reasonable level of fitness (although no previous yoga experience is required), who enjoy a faster paced/stronger practice, followed by calming, restorative poses. The flowing, set sequence provides the opportunity to fully immerse in the breath to experience moving meditation. A workout for the body and a treat for the mind & soul!

Vinyasa Basics
Join us for Vinyasa Basics on Thursdays 6-7pm upstairs at Knightly Gaming, Bathgate.

Have you heard of Vinyasa yoga but not sure what it actually is? Are you interested in a dynamic type of yoga class, but not sure what’s involved?
This class will explain & explore vinyasa styles of yoga such as Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Vinyasa, where we link the breath with movement and flow between postures. We will focus on technique for Sun Salutations and transitional sequences between poses. Modifications will be provided, so the class is suitable for anyone keen to move and work their body (you will be moving a lot!).
You will learn techniques to help you to breathe optimally and quieten the mind and, of course, we will indulge in some lovely relaxing/restorative poses at the end of the class!
